Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is a famous American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. After beginning her career as a model she soon began acting in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. The film debut came in the drama Nowhere. Her performances on the film American Beauty, for which she received a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader attention. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000) which was a co-production with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the role of the title character in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, an independent drama from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004) was the most recent of her appearances. In 2004, she was a guest in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari was cast in a variety of films, like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and also as the film adaption of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is featured in a variety of fashion magazines and blogs as well as Vogue. She's a Lancome model and appears on the advertisements printed for Lancome Paris Adaptive. She is a long-time campaigner for and a supporter of the renowned African relief group, known as the African Medical and Research Foundation. In addition, she is involved in issues of female empowerment as well as organizations whose mission is breast cancer and End Violence Against Women campaign.
